open house today was really FUN. first time i saw RI so well-decorated, like some big event in a shopping mall.
reached school at around 7.50 and realised i was the first at the booth. saw steven lim after that, and got bloody scolded. he was scolding me, saying that we were damn late, didn't see instructions or something, i was the only one there, so well, the only one scolded lor. luckily, after that said and hayden came and we managed to set up the booth quite quickly. mr quek finally gave me the raffles athletics shirt that he owed me for 2 1/2 years :)
and the shirt was PINNED ONTO THE BOOTH BOARD =.= heck, just a few tiny holes.
so was stoning in the hall for very long, while hayden talked to all the parents. i didn't explore the other booths in the hall because i didn't want to get near to the other end of the hall. ended up watching the gymnasts jumping for 6 hours (how do they do that!!??) in the middle of the hall, there was this mattress runway and the jumping board, and for HOURS, the gymnasts kept up with their performances of flips and jumps. i wanted to try the jumping and flipping out, but was afraid that my knees would worsen. sad, it really looked quite fun. and i saw this video of me in nationals in sec 1, and i realised how crappy i was then. instead of pole vaulting, i was like pole STANDING. i didn't even extend up or jump much. and mr quek only took a video of me failing the height T.T haha
after my shift, i spent the rest of the day touring the whole school, checking out the other booths and eventually decided to play hockey. wzy came later and after his shift, we played hockey too. to be honest, i think we spent more time playing hockey than in our shifts XD
anw, well done to those who did high jump today, jiaxuan, chander, chi tun etc. and good luck to those taking part in 200m tomorrow. esp, good luck to wzy for trying to go sub 26 secs. :P
going out for a movie with my family tomorrow, i think we're watching IRON MAN. lots of people said its good, so i'm expecting a lot! :)
