LAST lesson of financial literacy today!!

abit sad, to be honest. i really liked financial literacy. i thought the content was great, the trainer was great and it was really interesting and fun. especially when you learn about investments :D it jus gives ppl the feeling that they can become financially sound when they go for the course. though not really that in depth into finance, i still think the stuff taught was useful and definitely worth my time. 4 lessons was definitely not enough.
anw, so today's last lesson was this finance game. similar to monopoly, yes, but just that it's a lot more fun :P so we have a group leader, an accountant and a treasurer. we can choose to invest in properties, car/private transport and buy stocks/bonds etc to earn money and the such. really quite fun, and i thought it actually resembled a real life situation, something that monopoly, or for that matter, a lot of finance board games lack. yea we did screw up at some point in the game, but in the end, we still ended up with 1.03 million! :) (we started out with $500,000)
so, well, something i learnt from financial literacy, start EARLY!! don't wait till you're old to buy insurance and invest and the such. time is money.
really hope i could go for something like a more advanced version of this course in the future :D

anw, had 4 hours free before training today. so bennah, ervin and i finished the chem nanotech fps thing in library and went off to play table tennis after that. and decided not to go training XD coughing like mad la.

o and i'm going MALAYSIA (yes truly asia =.=) for oip trip!! i shall stop sulking about it, it's still overseas anw. what alvin said made sense, it's still better than nothing! BUT i'm still hoping there will be a plane ride XD and anw from my class, hiok and parry shud still be going, so i dont see any reason why i shouldnt. hope oip is fun in malaysia :D i can't wait. the trip's gonna be 2 weeks long, host school will be Malay College Kuala Kangsar in Perak (i'll post more details nxt time) and so i'll be off in malaysia from 10-24 nov. 2 weeks! gosh. honestly, the longest time i've ever been overseas is 1 week. nonetheless, i'll know it'll be a great, fun and an enriching experience :D
