track inter-school nats yesterday! C div - 7th and B div - 2nd and A div - 1st
the most exciting one out of the 3 i've attended in my life.
ok let's see, arrived at choa chu kang at around 2 and missed the team talk lol. didnt know where it was and even when jiaxuan and i were at the correct place, he kept insisting that it was wrong =.=
anw erm 100m C girls. cant' really remember much XD
100 m C boys. these c boys are BIG size and are as muscular as most of the B boys. quite scary in fact. and HCI owned with a timing of 11.89. 11.89!! c div! really quite impressive.
100 m B girls. again sports school won.
100 m B boys. calvin's the only guy from RI and he did 12.06. (does he like have some affinity with 12.06? he's done 12.06 thrice alr i tink) 6th placing. 1st guy 11.54. i think that's even faster than syafiq. but i was quite surprised that there was no hwa chong guy O.O
100 m A girls. joanna owned with 12.86 (the only sub-13 timing). o and it was really funny after she won. everyone was going "eh congratulations kieran! well done kieran!" and trying to shake kieran's hand. lol poor kieran, had to escape to the upper seats :P
100 m A boys. VERY exciting! kamarul and aaron were in. everyone was looking at kamarul and his performance was totally awesome. at the start, the ACS guy beside him had a damn powerful start and was ahead of everyone and kamarul was behind him. eh that acs guy seriously has some imba start, he totally shot out of his blocks. and kamarul was chasing behind. chase chase and chase. then overtook the acs guy at around 60 m. definitely classic. just sped past the acs guy and the poor acs guy was struggling to keep up. so kamarul won with 11.20, and that's not his personal best i think. anw really very impressive race.
800 m girls after that and i think i didn't really watch this one.
1500m C boys. quite a difficult race for nathaniel and benjamin, but i think they still did well =)
1500m B boys. good and exciting race. zhiming, shikai and guanlin were leading all the way throughout the race and were gonna get top 3. then, on the last lap, some SJI guy sped up and overtook all of them. quite shocking (i think that was the time when the prefects started to cheer a bit XD). so, last 100m or so was trying to catch up with the SJI guy. zhiming caught up with him and won just by a few milliseconds. shikai came up after that and got 3rd. yup, guanlin got 4th. quite sad. should have gotten 3rd.
1500m A boys. rui yong got 3rd and some other rjc guy got 2nd.
ah here comes the relays. the most exciting races of the day.
4 by 1 C girls. can't really remember much but rgs got 4th. nearly caught up with nanyang. not sure whether hemin ran, i think benjamin will be interested :P
4 by 1 C boys. 1st runner - jin heng, 2nd runner - jethro, 3rd runner - fu kai, 4th runner - ezra. i think they didn't do as well as they should have. jin heng with his usual penguin run XD, but jethro was really fast. he closed up quite a bit of the gap from the acs team, fukai was quite ok, and ezra a bit disappointing. 48.22. but well done :)
4 by 1 B girls. rgs not in. sports school won.
4 by 1 B boys. omg this one was bloody screwed up. 1st runner - calvin, 2nd runner - junrui, 3rd runner - kieran, 4th runner - syafiq. the two idiots in lane 1 and 2 false-started, and then the officials dont even know that the runners cant hear whistles (you have to shoot the gun a second time!), so in the end, all the 1st runners and 2nd runners except the ones from ngee ann and st patrick's ran and only realised it was a false start when they reached the 3rd runners. bloody unfair! this way, only the ngee ann and st patrick's teams were not tired since they didn't run. and we were supposed to win this race. almost 100% chance since hwa chong and sports school were both disqualified. in the end, the race was delayed. went back to it after the A girls relay. i think calvin and junrui were quite tired, but they still ran well. syafiq was impressive again, as usual. probably ran his best. chased a few of the leading teams and almost won sji by a tiny fraction. SJI got 1st with 44.79 and we got 2nd with 44.82 . kudos to syafiq for fighting all the way.
4 by 1 A girls. lost to hwachong.
4 by 1 A boys. looked like an easy win for us =) since kamarul was like smiling during the race XD
4 by 4 C girls. RGS got 4th! close fight with nygh
4 by 4 C boys. i dont know who ran for us, but we got 7th and missed 6th by just 1 millisecond
4 by 4 B girls. RGS 4th again. i only know chern hwee ran, dont know who were the other 3. but still well done :)
4 by 4 B boys. matthias, kieran, guan lin and yeong yang. we got 5th, nearly beating cat high. and i saw jamie ross coates' imbaness for the first time lol. heard he broke the 400 m record.
4 by 4 A girls. 3rd. 4 by 4 A boys. 3rd.
and this is random but, judo's b div got 2nd and a div got 1st too. pure coincidence?

went for dinner after that at swensens in suntec. the RI track team together with the RG track team. we were all damn noisy and apparently got complaints from other diners at swensens. and jethro kept pestering me while i was eating. haha but really enjoyed it at swensens.
cheers to a successful nats! :D and next year, we'll fight back and get our challenge trophy!
